Common Body
Common Body is a sculpture and design studio founded by Nathaniel Kyung Smith. Based in Los Angeles, Common Body makes sculptural forms by hand, exploring the body and its relationship with the earth. Using local and natural earth-bound materials like clay, stone and beeswax, the work becomes an artifact imbued with a sense of place, mediating between the lived experience of being human and the environments we inhabit.
